Abstract
The antitumor antibiotic bleomycin acts as a transcriptional inducer of the neo-ble-str operon of the transposon Tn5, increasing the resistance level to streptomycin and amikacin in Tn5-containing Escherichia coli. The mechanism may involve a recA-independent induction mediated by DNA damage.Entities:
