Abstract
A picobirnavirus with an atypical genome profile was detected by polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis (PAGE) in 37% (20/54) of human faecal samples also containing oocysts of Cryptosporidium typical of C. parvum. This virus shares many of the characteristics of the previously described picobirnaviruses, but has a significantly smaller genome (1.75 and 1.55 Kbp).Entities:
