Abstract
The fidelity of membrane trafficking is mediated by specific interactions between transport vesicles and their target membranes. SNAREs (SNAP receptors) are cytoplasmically oriented membrane proteins that form complexes implicated in transport vesicle targeting. Advances in the past year have provided insight into the fundamental mechanisms underlying the formation, regulation, and function of SNARE complexes.Mesh:
