Abstract
Expanded polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) was tested in rats as a microvascular synthetic graft. An inside diameter of 1.25 mm was used in the rat carotid artery, and various graft thicknesses were tried. Although several of the grafts remained patent, none of the samples tested were reliable enough to replace autologous vein graft.Entities:
