Abstract
The cell wall of Thermomicrobium roseum, a Gram-negative, obligately thermophilic bacterium, has a composition unlike other Gram-negative thermophilic organisms. The purified cell wall was composed predominantly of a protein with a monomeric molecular weight of 75 000. The amino acid composition of this protein revealed high concentrations of proline, glutamic acid, glycine, and alanine.Entities:
