Abstract
Available reports suggest that lidocaine is capable of relieving symptoms of tinnitus, but no convincing data support this conclusion. By use of a placebo-controlled double-blind crossover study we found that 19 out of 26 patients with subjective tinnitus reported that their tinnitus was temporarily better or gone with intravenous (IV) lidocaine and that there was no change with IV saline.Entities:
