Abstract
We have shown that the yeast Saccharomyces cerevisiae has a mechanism by which information from one gene can be transferred non-reciprocally to a repeated copy of the gene on the same chromosome. This intrachromosomal gene conversion may be important in maintaining sequence homogeneity within families of repeated eukaryotic genes.Entities:
