Abstract
A curved gray path, briefly flashed between two alternately displayed black dots, induced a compelling illusion of a single dot moving back and forth over that path. The minimum interval between dot onsets yielding this apparent motion increased not with the direct distance between the dots but, linearly, with the length of the curved path.Entities:
