[Origin of the serotoninergic innervation of the rat locus coeruleus].

L Léger, A M Degueurce, J F Pujol.

Abstract

The radioautographic detection of serotonin terminals and the determination of serotonin endogenous content in locus coeruleus after different raphe lesions indicate that the serotoninergic innervation of the Rat locus coeruleus has its origin in three nuclei: raphe dorsalis, raphe centralis superior and raphe pontis.
