Improved stomacher 400 bag applicable to the spiral plate system for counting bacteria.

H Konuma, A Suzuki, H Kurata.

Abstract

A stomacher 400 bag was slightly modified, constructed, and tested in combination with the spiral plating technique. Use of the modified bag resulted in more rapid sample preparation and saved both labor and glassware because of the avoidance of large particles of solids and fatty foods blocking the hole of the dispensing stylus tube.
