The use of a flow rate injector for contrast-enhanced computed tomography.

Abstract

A prototype flow rate injector for intravenous administration of contrast agent was used successfully and without complications in 200 patients undergoing CT of pelvic, abdominal, and mediastinal structures. Improved contrast enhancement was routinely obtained.
