Abstract
Anti-idiotypic antibodies are described that were raised against murine monoclonal antibody 8.2, an antibody specific for a human melanoma-associated cell surface marker called p97. The 8.2 idiotopes recognized by this anti-idiotypic antiserum are binding site-associated and are shared by other monoclonal anti-p97 antibodies with the same specificity as antibody 8.2. Mice immunized with the anti-idiotype demonstrate delayed-type hypersensitivity reactions when challenged with melanoma (p97-positive) tumor cells.Entities:
