Abstract
The prevalence of methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus infections in community hospitals in northern Minnesota, Wisconsin, and Michigan was found to be one case in 82,565 patients. The percentage of S. aureus isolates resistant to methicillin was less than 0.2% (5 of 2,835). In this study, conducted from 1 June 1982 to 31 May 1983, a laboratory-controlled methodology was used.Entities:
