Representation of both visual hemifields in the lateral suprasylvian area of one hemisphere.

V F Gerchikova.

Abstract

Clusters of neurons of the lateral suprasylvian area are shown to be able to respond to stimulation of symmetrical areas of the ipsi- and contralateral visual hemifields. Neuron clusters with such symmetrical receptive fields have a retinotopic organization.
