Abstract
The intraventricular injection of 100 ng of vasoactive intestinal polypeptide (VIP) is followed by a significant increase of paradoxical sleep in the Rat. In P. chlorophenylalanine pretreated insomniac Rats which do not present spontaneous paradoxical sleep episodes, intraventricular injection of VIP induces normal quantities of this state of sleep.Entities:
