Abstract
Arachnoiditis ossificans is uncommon and has been reported to occur in areas surrounding the brain stem, the spinal cord, and the cauda equina. Predisposing etiologic factors include vascular anomalies, spinal anesthetics, and meningitis. This report adds a case of arachnoiditis ossificans about the cauda equina occurring after septic complications following laminectomy. Surgical excision of the ossific tissue resulted in clinical improvement.Entities:
