Abstract
Injection of T5 first-step-transfer DNA was prevented at 29 degrees C, after adsorption to an unsaturated fatty acid mutant grown on elaidate (phase transition at 35 degrees C). Local anesthetics, which increase membrane fluidity, did not inhibit injection above transition temperature and could even reverse the inhibition observed at 29 degrees C on elaidate cells.Entities:
