Evidence that ADP-ribosylation is not necessary for luteinizing hormone stimulation of Leydig cell steroidogenesis.

Abstract

3-Aminobenzamide, which inhibits ADP-ribosylation, did not inhibit luteinizing hormone's ability to stimulate androgen secretion by mouse testicular interstitial cells in vitro. 3-Aminobenzamide, but not its inactive analog 3-amino-benzoic acid, inhibited steroidogenesis stimulated by cholera toxin.
