Abstract
A high-performance liquid chromatographic method has been developed for the determination of a new cephalosporin antibiotic in plasma, urine and saliva (mixed saliva) using normal-phase technique and an NH2 bonded-phase column. The eluent mixture was a combination of acetonitrile and an aqueous solution of ammonium carbonate. The rapid method involved precipitation of protein from fluids by means of acetonitrile followed by automatic injection of the supernatant. The detection limit was 0.4 micrograms/ml for plasma, 3 micrograms/ml for urine and 0.03 micrograms/ml for saliva using UV detection.Entities:
