Abstract
The authors report five cases of pheochromocytoma observed in black African people, followed in the Hospital University Center of Treichville. Three of these pheochromocytoma were in ectopic location. In connection with these observations, the authors review the African literature, regrouping 33 cases, which allows to define the principal aspects of the disease in black African patients. The over morbidity amongst the female patient, the frequent discovery during pregnancy or even at the onset of labour, the frequency ectopic localization are quite original characteristics.Entities:
