The effect of age on the quality of bone scans using technetium-99m pyrophosphate.

M A Wilson.

Abstract

An inverse linear correlation was found between patients' ages and the quality of bone scans. The degrees to which radionuclides were visible in soft tissue, kidneys, and particularly cancellous bone were the basis of this correlation.
