Abstract
Certain fluorochemicals are under discussion as synthetic substitutes for erythrocytes because of their high binding capacity for blood gases. The excretion of fluorocarbons occurs predominately in the lungs. As a part of this process of excretion, active cellular transport can be demonstrated by ultrastructural examination. Chronic organ defects, especially lung fibrosis, were not detected.Entities:
