Abstract
The gastric acid response to the augmented histamine test was measured in 115 Ghanaian patients, including 45 cases of sickle-cell anaemia. Normal gastric acid responses were found in the patients with sickle-cell anaemia, suggesting that the frequent occurrence of indigestion in patients with this disorder is unlikely to be related to abnormal gastric acid secretion.Entities:
