Lysosomal and microsomal glucuronidase: genetic variant alters electrophoretic mobility of both hydrolases.

P P Hudec, P Sonnenfeld.

Abstract

An electrophoretic variant of beta-glucuronidase is present in certain inbred mouse lines. The variant simultaneously affects the mobility of the lysosomal and microsomal forms of the enzyme. The difference is inherited as a single gene mapping at the position of the structural gene on chromosome 5. This confirms that beta-glucuronidase at both intracellular sites is coded by the same structural gene.
