Abstract

This paper describes the results of many years' study of the indirect haemagglutination (IHA) test for brucellosis. It is shown that the use of sheep erythrocytes sensitized with a specific lipopolysaccharide antigen in the IHA test provides a specific method, which is more sensitive than the agglutination test, for the diagnosis of brucellosis in man and farm animals.
