Abstract
Stationary chicken embryo fibroblasts exposed to Rous sarcoma virus (RSV) remained stably infected for at least 5 days, but they did not release infectious virus or become transformed until after cell division. These infected stationary cells did not contain avian leukosis virus group-specific antigens or ribonucleic acid (RNA) hybridizable to deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA) made by the RSV endogenous RNA-directed DNA polymerase activity.Entities:
