Abstract
A 44-year-old woman, hospitalized with severe diarrhea due to ulcerative colitis, was found to have a rare ocular complication, idiopathic central serous chorioretinopathy with bullous retinal detachment. The ocular symptom started with the flare-up of the ulcerative colitis. Steroid therapy was not effective on the ocular disorder, while her ulcerative colitis became dormant. Relationship between the two disorders is discussed.Entities:
