Abstract
Nine patients with locally advanced carcinoma of the breast underwent simple mastectomy under regional anaesthesia (1% lignocaine and 1:100,000 adrenaline). Preoperative sedation was provided by oral lorazepam. There were no technical problems, evidence of lignocaine toxicity or excessive operative blood loss and no wounds became infected.Entities:
