Abstract
A 10-cm tumor of the mesoappendix was removed from an asymptomatic 81-year-old woman, who is alive and healthy 5 years later. Histologically, the tumor was a paraganglioma. Five other case reports of paraganglioma involving the gastrointestinal tract distal to the duodenum are reviewed. The authors believe these tumors should be regarded as aberrant retroperitoneal paragangliomas.Entities:
