The trend in medicine is toward increasing surgical procedures being performed on an outpatient basis. The authors present their clinical findings, differential diagnosis, and surgical treatment plan utilizing an allograft of freeze-dried cortical and cancellous bone for a unicameral bone cyst of the calcaneus treated on an outpatient basis.
