Abstract
Campylobacter laridis has occasionally been isolated from patients with diarrhea, but its clinical significance in this setting has yet to be established. We report a patient with a self-limited diarrheal illness whose stool cultures yielded C. laridis. The patient also developed a specific serum bactericidal antibody response to this strain of C. laridis, suggesting that the organism was causally related to the enteric illness.Entities:
