Abstract
Campylobacter lari is an infrequent cause of intestinal and extraintestinal infection in humans. We report a case of C. lari prosthetic joint infection and bacteremia in an 81-year-old immunocompetent man. The infection was associated with septic shock and fatal outcome. C. lari may cause severe disease, even in an immunocompetent host.Entities:
