[Standardized measurement of urethral pressure with normal values in the diagnosis of stress incontinence].

Abstract

Standardising guidelines in urethrometry have been set up at the Department of Gynaecology of the Frauenfeld "Kantonsspital" hospital in collaboration with the Swiss working team for urodynamics. The article gives a detailed description of measurement technique, examination procedure and evaluation of curves. The standard values for continence, stress incontinence I and stress incontinence II/III are calculated. Finally, the article deals with the clinical interpretation of the urethral pressure profile.
