Abstract
A case of midbrain abscess that was successfully treated by surgical evacuation is reported. The abscess was located in the rostral tegmentum of the midbrain and was aspirated using an infratentorial supracerebellar approach. The patient subsequently returned to his high school. Early accurate diagnosis and appropriate surgical management are especially important for successful treatment of this previously fatal condition.Entities:
