Abstract
Purpose: To compare the therapeutic effects of anti-vascular endothelial growth factor (anti-VEGF) agents in eyes with macular edema associated with branch retinal vein occlusion (BRVO-ME) with glaucoma to those without glaucoma. Patients andEntities:

Notes: Data are presented as the means ± standard deviations. Mann–Whitney U-test was used to determine the significance of the differences between the groups. Chi-square test was used to determine the significance of differences among the groups. *P < 0.05.
Abbreviations: G [-], macular edema associated with branch retinal vein occlusion without glaucoma; G [+], macular edema associated with branch retinal vein occlusion with glaucoma; BCVA, best corrected visual acuity; CRT, central retinal thickness; IOP, intraocular pressure; A, aflibercept; B, bevacizumab; R, ranibizumab.
Figure 1The best-corrected visual acuity (BCVA) and central sub-retinal thickness (CRT) at 3 months after a single anti-VEGF injection for eyes without glaucoma (G [-]) and with glaucoma (G [+]). BCVA and CRT significantly improved in both groups during the experimental period. Baseline BCVA did not differ significantly between the two groups (A and B). The two groups showed no significant difference at 1 month after treatment, but the BCVA was significantly worse in the G [+] group than in the G [-] group at 3 months after treatment (P = 0.02).
