Odds ratios indicate the risks of having ischemic stroke associated with per 5% increase in DNA methylation levels at each CpG site and with per SD increase in the average of all CpG sites in a gene, adjusting for age, sex, education level, cigarette smoking, alcohol consumption, BMI, LDL-C, HDL-C, hypertension, and diabetes. q indicates the significance level after multiple testing correction by false discovery rate approach.
