Figure 4In the measurement of radial extension, the upward motion beyond the horizontal plane was expressed as the positive angle. When the motion did not go beyond the horizontal plane, it was expressed as the negative angle. To the reverse, in measuring ulnar flexion, the downward motion beyond the horizontal plane was expressed as the positive angle. When the motion did not go beyond the horizontal plane, it was expressed as the negative angle. The sum of the angles of radial extension and ulnar flexion was defined as the range of DTM.
