Abstract
BACKGROUND: Glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase (G6PD) deficiency is one of the most common human genetic abnormalities, with a high prevalence in Guangdong, China. The purpose of this study was to explore the characteristics of newly diagnosed type 1 diabetes (T1D) patients with G6PD deficiency in a cohort of Chinese children and to investigate the relationship between the diabetic ketoacidosis (DKA) and hemolysis due to G6PD deficiency in these patients.Entities:
