Maternal hemorrhage into the amniotic sac producing an apparent umbilical cord mass on sonogram.

Abstract

A case of a mass around the fetus secondary to maternal hemorrhage and blood clot is presented. The sonographic features that allow distinction of a clot from a fetal teratoma are discussed.
