Abstract
AIMS: Childcare facilities act as microenvironments that facilitate and promote the selection, spread and transmission of antibiotic-resistant micro-organisms in the community. B. cereus and B. thuringiensis are generally resistant to penicillins and cephalosporins due to production of a potent broad‐spectrum β‐lactamase (CLSI, 2016); there were set no interpretive criteria in standards.
The number (%) of strains, where was a difference between the zone diameters of either of the antibiotic discs and their respective antibiotic/CA or /EDTA discs for ESBLs ≥5 mm.

The breakpoints for P. aeruginosa were taken into account, because in CLSI standards (2017) there were no interpretative criteria for other representatives of this genus.
