Figure 2Phylogenetic relationships based on Pentatrichomonas hominis 18S rRNA and ITS genes. The phylogenetic relationship between P. hominis obtained in this study and other known trichomonads were inferred using the maximum likelihood analysis based on the genetic distance calculated by the Kimura 2‐parameter model. The sequences of P. hominis isolated in this study are marked with a diamond. (a) Partial 18S rRNA sequences. (b) ITS sequences.
