Abstract
INTRODUCTION: Diabetes mellitus (DM) is a chronic metabolic disorder characterized by hyperglycemia resulting from defects in insulin production, insulin action, or both. Despite advances in DM diagnosis and management, the incidence of DM-related complications remains high.
