Abstract
BACKGROUND: Human adenovirus (HAdV) had been recognized as one of the most common enteric viruses associated with acute diarrhea in children. The present study was carried out to demonstrate the molecular and epidemiological characterization of HAdV Infections among children in Shandong province in China between July 2017 and June 2018.Entities:

The main clinical manifestations of HAdV-positive children were diarrhea, vomiting, dehydration and fever. Differences of clinical manifestations between HAdV-positive children and HAdV-negative children were found by comparing frequency of diarrhea and vomiting, duration of diarrhea and vomiting, incidence of vomiting, dehydration and fever, degree of dehydration and fever. Statistical significance was defined as a P value less than 0.05
