BACKGROUND: The coronavirus disease 2019 pandemic had a substantial impact on surgical training programs. On October 1, 2020 a new curricular year began. Incoming first-year residents were not included in the survey.
Owing to a pandemic, the number of vacancies for residents and fellows was reduced.
