Abstract
BACKGROUND: Some patients have a positive pivot-shift finding and rotational instability after anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) reconstruction (ACLR). Three major pathologies known to affect the pivot-shift examination include ACL tear, anterolateral ligament injury, and loss of posterior lateral meniscus root function.Entities:

Data are presented as mean ± SD. IKDC, International Knee Documentation Committee; VAS, visual analog scale.
One patient with grade 2 preoperatively had anterior cruciate ligament failure at 8 months postoperatively and was excluded from further follow-up.
Significant VAS, IKDC, and Lysholm Scores compared with preoperative scores (P < .001). There was no significant difference among pivot-shift groups during the follow-up and at the end of the second year.
