Abstract
PURPOSE: The coronavirus 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic has had profound consequences also for non-infected patients. This study aimed to evaluate the impact of the pandemic on the quality of life of a population with hereditary gastrointestinal cancer predisposition syndromes and on the surveillance/oncological care program of patients enrolled in a dedicated registry.Entities:

Impact of the coronavirus emergency on surveillance and cancer treatment (Supplementary Material 1-Section 3)
| % | ||
|---|---|---|
| Because of your increased risk of cancer due to a genetic predisposition, do you generally feel more fragile than the general population? | ||
| Not at all | 53 | 25.12 |
| A little | 82 | 38.86 |
| Much | 63 | 29.86 |
| Very much | 13 | 6.16 |
| Since you became aware of your increased risk of developing a malignancy, do you regularly attend medical checks? | ||
| Yes, regularly | 193 | 91.47 |
| Yes, occasionally | 12 | 5.69 |
| No | 6 | 2.84 |
| Generally, does lengthening the time between one medical check and the next cause you anxiety? | ||
| Not at all | 32 | 15.17 |
| A little | 87 | 41.23 |
| Much | 69 | 32.7 |
| Very much | 23 | 10.9 |

| Some of them | 31 | 26.05 |
| None of them | 37 | 31.09 |
| What you have been diagnosed with is a rare disease that requires more frequent surveillance tests and sometimes different treatments than in the general population. It is therefore essential that the physicians who follow you know these needs and plan the medical checks and any treatments accordingly | ||

Fig. 1Distribution of the two component summary scores (MCS12 and PCS12). The box plots report the overall distribution of the two component summary scores (A) and the distribution of the two component summary scores according to sex (B) and age class (C). Each box indicates the 25th and 75th centiles. The horizontal line inside the box indicates the median, the black dot represents the mean, and the whiskers indicate the range measured
