Abstract
BACKGROUND: The National Comprehensive Cancer Network (NCCN) has adopted the distress thermometer (DT) as one of the best-known distress-screening instruments. We have adopted a modified version of the NCCN distress thermometer. We questioned if this modified DT (m-DT) could be utilized for measuring the prevalence of psychological distress among COVID-19 patients.Entities:

*m-DT; modified distress thermometer. For age, data are expressed in mean ± standard deviation and t-test with 95% confidence interval was carried out to compare age between the 2 groups of m- DT cut-off <4 and ≥4. For other sociodemographic characteristics, data are expressed in numbers and percent and Chi-square tests was used to compare the significance of differences between the 2 groups of m-DT cut-off <4 and ≥4.
