Complete transection of the common bile duct diagnosed by endoscopic retrograde cholangiography.

Abstract

Complete transection of the common bile duct is an unusual complication of elective cholecystectomy. We present a case in which the diagnosis of this rare complication was made postoperatively by endoscopic retrograde cholangiography.
