| Transfusion-dependent β-thalassemia appears to place a high level of burden on individuals with the condition and their caregivers. |
| In our study, the burden associated with transfusion-dependent β-thalassemia was driven by a high time spent on disease management, fatigue and pain symptoms, and impairment to quality of life. |
