Imaging features and management of characteristically benign and probably benign breast lesions.

M J Homer.

Abstract

While only a few benign lesions in the breast have a characteristic appearance, many others have a high probability of being benign. In those situations, follow up by palpation and mammography is a reasonable alternative to excisional biopsy. The appearance of characteristically benign lesions of the breast and an approach to the management of probably benign lesions is presented.
